17.03.2010 Academic Prize Presentation @ SMMHT

17.03.2010, SMMHT held an academic prize presentation to present trophies and prizes to the top 15 students who excel in BGCE ‘O’ level 2009, PMB 2009 and SPA Year 8 2009. The prizes were presented by the guest of honour, Ak Abdullah bin Pg hj Tengah, director of development co-curriculum. The presentation was intended to give a token of appreciation and acknowledgement to student for their efforts in obtaining excellent results and to provide inspiration and motivation to other students who are going to sit for their BGCE ‘O’ level exam this year.

In addition to these top 15 students, our school principal, Cg Hadion Lim Beng Guan presents a special award called ‘Hadion’s Mathematics Excellence Award’ to student where they will receive a trophy, one medal with their name printed on it, cash prize of BND300 and a Mathematics Certificate of excellence. The main aims of this award are to acknowledge, appreciate and motivate those students who excel in mathematics and at the same time provide inspiration for other students. A total of 4 students were awarded, Noradanani bin Sima@Musim from SPA Year 8, Md Nasruddin bin Hj Sulaiman from PMB 2009, Nigel Teo Kui Meng and Md Zulfadli bin Ramli from BGCE 'O' level where both obtained overall excellence in science subjects.

This will be the last post for the 2009. Thanks to all visitors who find this school blog helpful and do support this blog site again in 2010 for more school info and photos. Just before the holiday, smmht organised a parent teacher meeting for its year 7 and year 8 students. Parent attendance are very good (over 85% attended). Teachers use this opportunities to discuss students' progress, discipline in class, academic performance with their parents.

For months since the spread of H1N1, our school finally held its assembly again. There are lots of prize to be given, such as chess tournament, best class attendance, best class cleanliness, best class amazing info notice board, winner of corridor of knowledge, mathematics quiz winner.....
To many to name.. the assembly lasted for almost 1 and 1/2 hr. And as usual, Spot check was held after the assembly.

3rd October 2009 Parent day for M5 students

To foster the relationship between teachers and parents, our school held a series of parent day for M5, M3 and Year 8 students in october. Teachers have the opportunity to discuss with parents' their children's academic performance to see whether they are performing well or not and they do touch on what can both do to improve the student's grade.. a prize presentation for qualifying exam for M5 is presented and parents are proud of their children's achievement.

In 2nd June, about 50 students headed by SMMHT career deprtment, Cg Sea Kong Meng, visit RBAF exhibition.
Students were amazed at the exhibition booth from Air, Land and Sea Armed Forces.

During this 2nd term holiday, our school's scout club with support from Tutong Scout Association organised a 4 day camping at our school premises. About 70 students from SMSB, SM RIPAS, SM PJN Sengkarai participated in this camping. Today, 17th June 2009, a closing ceremony was held to mark the end of the camping.

21st May 2009 Energy Week at Padang SOAS

On this hot sunday, our students participate in a competition called 'Energy Trail', one of the games organised by the Prime Minister, energy division together with step centre. Our students however, did not win the race, but what's important is the process of learning and experience that they have gained which help them to know themselves.

I think everyone in Brunei must have had heard of her name... she is the woman that travel with 4WD around the world, HJH NORHAYATI!!! Our school with pleasure being able to invite her to give a motivational talk for students. She share her amazing experience of her where our students stay stun!! and excited about it.

A sandal made from bridgestone tyre is used by african to walk around, claiming Bridgestone tyres are the most durable rubber.

Recently, our school held a sepak takraw tournament which more than 8 teams participate, they are from Tutong Secondary School and some BSB secondary school. The winner for category B goes to SM Sayyidina Hassan and 1st runner up is our school, SM Muda Hashim. For category C, the winner is SMSO and 1st runner up is SM Masin.

This is the third time our school its parent meet in the month of april. This time is for M5 students. Parents take this opportunity to seek their son's subject teacher and discuss their progress and achievements.

In this wet morning, our school held its sport day for the Nineth Time. But soon the rain stopped, and the competition resume. Pengiran Bendahara Sakam wins the 'barisan terbaik' and awang semaun emerged as the overall champion.

This afternoon, our school started its sport day for field games such as buang peluru, lontar cakera, lompat jauh and lontar lembing. Four sport houses, namely Awang Semaun, Awang Alak Betatar, Pengiran Bendahara Sakam and Nakhoda Ragam compete in the event and for your info, Awang Semaun champ in this field event with total of 6 gold medals.

Last Saturday, our school held another parent meet for M3 students. Parents have the opportunity to seek the son's respective subject teachers to discuss about their son's academic performance. Teachers also further enhance their relationship with parents during the meeting.

40 PRS students embarked on a exciting trip to RBAF at Rimba accompany by two teachers, namely Cg Miss On Wan Chyi And Cg Zularinah Omar. They visited the hangar, photo gallery and parachute section.

11.04.09 Latihan Pembarisan Rumah rumah Sukan

This satuday morning, our school held its first marching rehearsal for its annual sport day which will be held on the 15th and 16th april 2009. The rehearsal lasted from 7.45 till 9.15am. For the marching, we hav our 4 sport houses, Awang Alak Betatar, Awang Semaun, Pengiran Bendahara Sakam and Nakhoda Ragam, together with Cadet Askar, Cader Polis, Scout, Prefeks and PRS and band invited from BSB.

Students endeavor themselves in the rehearsal while enjoying the soft morning light which is rich in vitamin D.

AJKs of the sport event also participate in the marching.

08.04.09 Kejohanan Bowling Antara Rumah Sukan 2009 @Empire

Recently, our school held an interhouse bowling tournament in conjunction with the school sport day which will be held on the 16th April 2009. Four teams comprises of 3 male teachers and 3 female teachers enroll in this exciting and yet relaxing afternoon and the team Awang Semaun excel and become the champion with total point 1325, followed by Awang Alak Betatar 1282 points, Nakhoda Ragam 1229 and lastly Pengiran Bendahara Sakam 1193. Moreover, best male player, Cg Omar and best female players, Cg Hareitta also come from the winner team.

04.04.09 Parent meet at SMMHT Year 7 and Year 8

SM Muda Hashim held their first term parent meet for the SPN 21 Year 7 and Year 8 students. The event started with a short briefing on SPN21 from the school principal, Cg Hadion Lim Beng Guan followed by parent teacher meeting. The aim of the briefing is educate and explain to parents on the new education system, SPN21 especially those who are in Year 7. During this event, parents and teacher have the opportunity to discuss the students’ performance, ability and their achievement. At the same time, to promote better relationship between parents and teachers.

Our school sport day is coming soon on the 16th April. So today we have a meeting with the students in their respective sport house. The aim of the meeing is to select potential ahlete who shall represent each sport house in the upcominig track and field competition.

18th Mac 2009 - Staff high tea at RBC

Towards the end of the first term holiday, our school teachers held a high tea gathering at RBC, organized by the komiti kebajikan. During the high tea, we also invited two ex-teachers from our school namely, Cg Bahrin and Cg Julina who had transferred. It was a great afternoon, but the food is just average. No enough!!

03.10.2009 Academic Prize Presentation for PMB and 'O' level 2008 students

Recently, our school held its academic prize presentation for last year 2008 PMB and 'O' level students. Prizes are awarded to the top 15 PMB students and also top 15 'O' level students On top of that, subject teachers also give prizes to their best students to honour their achievement. Among all these prizes, the most interesting prizes are the reknown, "HADION's AWARDS for Mathematics", where students are given a trophy, certificate of achievement and cash prize of BND300 for best achievement in Mathematics. This year, for PMB, the winner goes to Austin Ngalang Melayu and for 'O' level, Ik Cheong Loon emerge as the champ.

Yesterday was a tired day where our school teachers (AJKs) work from morning till evening...but is worth it in making this bowling tournament successful. Hep hep hurray.. The winning team for this year is our own school team, the legendary LABUT BC. Followed by HARIMAU RIMBA and RIPAS BOWLERS. Hope next year we can achieved the same results again.. Go Go SMMHT!

Our guest of honour, Cikgu Hj Kassim Mohd Yassin presented the trophy to the winning team's captain, Cg Rushdi, the founder of LABUT BC team.

Today our school host the cross country for Army Cadet among secondary school and college. The run start at about 8.00am followed by prize presentation and finsih around 10.00am. Our school SMMHT army cadet ended in 1st runner up in overall point collected. While SMPIHM emerge as the champion for 4 consecutive years. For everyone info, YTM Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah also joining the run together with Army Cadet from UBD.
